Creating Partnerships

• A theatre toured local libraries with a talk and exhibition designed to forge new audiences for the theatre and forge closer links with libraries and their community of users.
   
• A theatre with a strong community out reach philosophy developed a close working partnership with the local library service to develop a joint children's writing and drama project. The project explored reading and the children's perception of the library space in a workshop situation to create in situ drama and writing. The project resulted in a performance in the theatre, an exhibition and a publication. The project has established a model that both the theatre and the library service are keen to develop.
